COMPASS DAY PROGRAM

Compass Day Program’s 5-hour session delivers “best brain days” for participants with mild- to moderate-level memory loss. At the same time, caregivers get a break or can take advantage of our counseling support.  Our goal is to help families stay together in their homes, at a sustainable pace, for as long as it is safe.

Compass operates at our headquarters, 117 Wm. Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head. The facility is certified and licensed  by SC Department of Health and Environmental Control as a social-model adult day care center. We are also licensed by the Town of Hilton Head.

Compass costs $75 per day. Memory Matters is a charitable nonprofit, so all who seek help are provided support regardless of ability to pay. Families requiring Fee Assistance should contact us regarding the application process.

Lunch is provided daily and gives our participants time to relax and socialize with one another. Our lunches are based on the Mediterranean diet and are overseen by our volunteer Chef-in-residence Kim Baretta.  Chef Kim professionally trained in the culinary arts at the Leith School of Food and Wine in London.

Pat, Compass Day Program Director, helps participants keep their heads up with a vigorous game of “volley beach ball”
