“Meditation: Taking Control of Your Monkeys & Squirrels!”
Life can be crazy and oftentimes we may “seem” calm on the outside, but inside our minds are jumping up and down uncontrollably like a monkey, or zig-zagging like an indecisive squirrel trying to cross the road.
Sometimes, a short mental pause can be enough to make you feel better. This is the definition of meditation: simply taking control of your mind until it is at rest. Like learning any other skill. . . it takes practice, and it’s easier when someone shows you how. Today, we’ll practice simple meditation you can do anytime, anywhere to manage your monkey mind, squirrel, or however you identify your brain’s unrestful state. Peace of mind takes practice, is free, and priceless.
“For peace of mind, we need to resign as general manager of the universe.”
– Larry Eisenberg
