About the Event

"Stress Reduction & Mindfulness" with Rita Woodard.

Rita Woodard is a credentialed teacher from Brown University's Mindfulness Center who understands how stress impacts wellness. Her goal is to educate and share techniques that can be used to improve lives.

Have you been curious about Mindfulness? Explore what Mindfulness is and isn't through an informal lecture, discussion, and practice.

We will talk briefly about mindfulness's history—the roots of the practice and how and why it has become popular in the West. We will explore its benefits and how it can help reduce stress or improve wellness. Attendees will practice some mindfulness techniques, including brief meditation, enabling them to take these skills back into their daily lives.

This free program is exclusively for non-paid family caregivers.
