Philanthropy is a voluntary action for the common good. To assure that Memory Matters merits your respect and trust, and that you have full confidence in our vision and mission, we declare you have these rights as a donor:

To be informed of our capacity to use donations.

To be informed of the identity of our Board of Directors.

To expect the Board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship.

To have access to our most recent audited financial statements.

To receive appropriate & legally required acknowledgments.

To be assured that information about donations is handled with respect and confidentiality, to the extent provided by law.

To expect that all relationships with donors will be professional.

To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of Memory Matters or hired solicitors.

To be assured donor information will not be shared with any other organization.

To feel free to ask questions when donating and to receive prompt truthful and forthright answers.
