BRAIN HEALTH SUMMIT

Memory Matters’ Annual Brain Health Summit, initiated in 2018, is 6 hours of workshops by local and national brain-health experts.  Designed with an intensive focus on brain wellness, the Brain Heath Summit sparks lifestyle adjustments to support better brain self-care.

“I attended the Brain Health Summit 2018 on April 25th at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort. From the moment I pulled into the driveway, it was readily apparent that this was going to be a sold out event …

The continental breakfast was perfect for folks milling around seeing old friends, making new friends and gaining information from the various vendors. The setup in the Ballroom was spot on for visual and hearing of speakers. Having eight top tables was a plus as it allowed for conversation with all the table participants.

The speakers were all fabulous! The lineup, with a ‘human interest story’ being first, then Q and A with Dr. Nussbaum, held the audience with peaked interest before and during Dr. Nussbaum’s presentation … The following speakers conveyed tons of information on nutrition, exercise and musical therapy. Not one boring moment!

The Mediterranean lunch was a winner. It provided a sample of a diet lifestyle that can benefit all in both brain and body … It takes lots of work to make an event like this so successful. You made it happen!  My hat is off to all the staff and volunteers at Memory Matters. Thanks for a wonderful day.”  Bobbi H.

MEMORY FESTS

Memory Fests are 2.5-hour workshops focused on “Your Amazing Brain,” a highly condensed version of our popular Brain Boosters class. They are presented by Memory Matters’ Memory Care Specialists, and are scheduled each January/February and September/October.

Memory Fests are offered at central community venues, such as churches and other nonprofit operations. We typically schedule one “East” version for the Island, and one “West” version for the Bluffton/Sun City area.
